Motorcyclist, 46, Dies In Crash on Route 72 In Woodland Township: State Police

A Brick Township man was killed when his motorcycle struck a tree in Burlington County, authorities said.

Christopher Elk, 46, died in the crash on Thursday, Oct. 3, a state police spokesperson said. Troopers responded to the wreck on Route 72 Eastin Woodland Township at around 6:12 p.m.

Investigators said Elk was riding a Suzuki motorcycle near milepost 9.5 when he went off the road and crashed into a tree. Elk was ejected from the bike and pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remained under investigation.
